Smyrna
Church of Christ
The most impressive
part of the study was the number of options provided using the existing
facility. First and foremost, these options were prioritized to
solve major growth issues. A long-term 10-15 year plan was given
which allowed flexibility to build as growth occurred. Options for
financial flexibility were also addressed.
The team members
of Smyrna Church of Christ found Dow Smith and Co., a very professional
group of people to work with. Their Christian attitude was very
much a part of this company's business approach.

"I am impressed
by Dow Smith's work, work ethic, and the cleanliness of the job
site!" says Paul E. Biggers, III EVP of Infrastructure Incorporated
(interior designers for Bank of Nashville).
Old
Jefferson Church of Christ
Old Jefferson had been planning to build a fellowship hall for some
time. With little more than a description of how we wanted to use
this new facility we engaged the services of Dow Smith Contracting
to help us in a Design/Build arrangement. Working with Joey and
the selected architect we solidified our design. From the planning
process to the final inspections, Dow, Joey, Gary and the rest of
the team were a pleasure to work with. Expenses were well controlled,
quality was always held high, and we couldn’t be happier with
the results. We have a wonderful facility where our church family
can gather, have some elbow room and grow.

Bank
of the South, Smyrna
Smyrna, Tennessee's Bank of the South Senior Vice President Ed Davenport
says knowing Dow Smith and knowing that he always does a good job
went a long way when he was ready to select a contractor to convert
the former Randstad building into the Bank of the South Smyrna branch.
"We are
developing a building here that we all will be proud of, and that
will be a great addition to the downtown area," Davenport says.
He says the 5,000 square foot space will have a totally new look.
Courier
Place Center
Courier Place Center is a "flex space" office/warehouse
combination with up to 13 suites for tenants at 1068 Courier Place
in Smyrna.
"We talked with
three general contractors before we selected Dow Smith, and evaluated
each one of them and their projects," says Mike Woods, Courier
Place Center owner. "Knowing the quality of their work, we
felt Dow Smith Contracting Company is best suited for what we wanted
to do.
Sam
Davis Visitors Center & Museum
Executive Director Bethany Hawkins says the expansion of the Sam
Davis Home historical and tourist attraction in Smyrna has been
nearly 20 years in the making.
After closing the old
museum in 1994, the real work began. "We started the serious
planning and the fundraising," she said. The construction,
which began in September 2002, should be complete in November 2003."
Hawkins says the selection
of Dow Smith Contracting Company came after interviewing three firms,
looking at past projects and talking with past clients.
"We were
looking for someone good to work with, someone who would help us
hold down costs, someone we can trust," she said. "We
found that person in Dow Smith and his company."
Woodfin's
Funeral Chapel
Bubba Woodfin's
Woodfin's Funeral Chapel, a Murfreesboro landmark, had burned to
the ground overnight. He needed a new building...fast.
After doing
some checking, he called Dow Smith Contracting Company. "Without
question. Over a two- or three-year period, every person in this
community will likely be in my building. Every detail is critical
when a beautiful, quality environment is essential to your business."
