Redstone Federal Credit Union: Adding Office Leads To Building Branch

When Redstone Federal Credit Union needed to add an office at its flagship Murfreesboro location on Medical Center Parkway last year, they called us.

Dow Smith Company’s Service and Small Projects Division was created to answer these calls and treat these projects with the same professionalism and enthusiasm that we would a multimillion-dollar ground-up building. The benefit of hiring Dow Smith Company for small projects is that we’ve got an entire team with decades of experience specifically dedicated to these types of jobs.

It was a quick project—one that only took us six days—but creating a couple of walls to add an office for Redstone was something we took seriously. We know that on any job, one of the most important things we build is the relationship we have with the client.

“They’re based out of Huntsville and so typically they’d bring their contractor up from Alabama,” says Dow Smith Company Project Manager Ryan Sanford. “They were looking for a local contractor they could trust for some little projects and we were recommended by John Blankenship (who we’ve worked with on the Seven Oaks Business Park and other projects).

This year, Redstone hired us to build out its newest branch, a 2,600-square-foot location at the Kingdom Crest shopping center on Franklin Road. It includes a few offices, a lobby, an ATM, a break room, and a drive-through. We were able to complete the project in about 14 weeks.

“Doing that small project showed them we could do it fast and clean and at a quality they were happy with,” Ryan says. "They got to know us and saw they could trust us with small things and wanted to give us larger things. It has been great working with them.”
