Small Projects Are A Big Part Of Relationships With Our Clients

Lead Construction Technician A.J. Blankenship assembles a shelf at Allied Behavioral Health Solutions.

Construction at Allied Behavioral Health Solutions was completed months ago. But when we’re building a project, we’re also building a relationship. And in that sense, our work is never finished.

After the Allied staff moved in, they realized they needed assistance with additional tasks. That’s when we reminded them that no job is too small for us.

Executive Director Alison Peak called Dow Smith Company Project Manager Ryan Sanford, whom she’d gotten to know throughout the process of building out their space at Seven Oaks in Smyrna. She said, “I don’t know anybody in Rutherford County. Is there anybody who can literally help me put together Little Tikes bicycles?” Ryan said, “Oh, we can do that.”

Alison was amazed.

“I was really grateful to get to learn about that and just to know the dedication to quality and that things will be done right,” Alison says. “It’s really appreciated.”

She added that she’s come to rely on Ryan and the Dow Smith team as a resource in the area.

“We have a relationship with Ryan at this point,” Alison says. “I look forward to when I get to see him and really do appreciate him as a human.”

Often, clients just need a little help with things around their office or church. Other contractors aren’t as quick to respond to those kinds of calls.

“Sometimes we have clients who tell us no one will ever call them back or that it will take six weeks,” Dow Smith Company CEO Joey Rhyne says. “We tell them we’ll be there on Thursday.”

The best part, from Ryan’s perspective, is that we’re able to give our clients an exceptional and unique experience…even when it comes to something small like hanging a picture or patching some drywall.

This week, Dow Smith Company Lead Construction Technician A.J. Blankenship was at Allied Behavioral Health Solutions putting together shelving. They’ve also asked us to do flooring, replace a faucet, remove pins and screws in the teacher’s lounge, put locks on cabinets, and do other items they needed help with.

“Coming back and putting together shelving and helping them address logistical issues and adding locks, we’re meeting needs that didn’t necessarily fall in the original scope of work,” A.J. says. “We always want to make sure that we’re being as accommodating as possible.”

Ryan says he was excited to send A.J. to help because A.J. is so detail-oriented and cares so much about our clients. “We’re happy to do it,” Ryan says. “That’s the things we’re excited to tell clients we can do for them.”
