North Boulevard Church Of Christ’s New Facility Offers Technology, Functionality, And Expandability

North Boulevard Church of Christ’s new West campus offers ample parking for its congregants. The new facility in Murfreesboro will stream services from the church’s main campus.

When North Boulevard Church of Christ opened its new West campus this month, it was nearly a decade in the making.

After the campus existed in a portable church environment for nine years, Dow Smith Company was honored to build its new 25,000-square-foot facility on Burnt Knob Road in Murfreesboro.

Senior Minister David Young says the facility is “the fulfillment of a 10-year dream. This new building here in West Murfreesboro is evidence that North Boulevard intends to follow Jesus and we intend to bring others to Jesus as well right here in Murfreesboro.”

Dow Smith Company Project Manager Andrea Fall says the building is perfect for the congregation, which has been meeting at Lane Agri-Park.

“I think the layout is really good,” Andrea says. “It’s really functional for a church. They have a lot of office space and a lot of storage. The kids’ space and the teens’ space are awesome. They have a lot of classroom spaces, learning spaces, and hangout spaces for the kids, so it gives them somewhere to gather.”

And if the church decides to expand, a plan is already in place to double the space with an addition that would essentially mirror what they have now, giving them an additional 50,000 square feet.

Dow Smith Company Superintendent Zac Neely says he likes the church’s comfortable design, inviting front lobby, and space for small groups.

“It’s just the way church is done now,” Zac says. “There’s space where everybody can gather and it’s more about bringing everybody together rather than just walking straight into an auditorium or a sanctuary.”

Once in the sanctuary, the facility is filled with audio-visual components that will allow the West campus to stream Senior Minister Young’s message from the church’s main campus.

“There’s a big TV wall that they’ll raise and lower,” Zac says.

From the technology to the functionality to the upgradability, this project was a pleasure for us to work on and we hope North Boulevard Church of Christ’s West campus enjoys its new home in Murfreesboro.
