Dow Smith Company worked with long-time industry partner and well-respected site and utility contractor Moody Excavating, LLC on their new office facility. Moody provides mass grading activities and utility infrastructure for subdivisions for local residential developers and small commercial jobs. The company’s reputation is well-known and hard-earned in Rutherford County and beyond. The new 3,000-square-foot wood-framed structure, located in Christiana, Tennessee features a brick façade. This design-build project now houses Moody’s management and estimating services.
The existing site posed some challenges during construction. The total square footage of the site was constrained due to water disposal and zoning ordinance setbacks. Project Manager Aaron Fisher and Superintendent Nate Pfeifer worked diligently with the Moody team and county officials to maximize the building’s size while maintaining the budget and meeting the owner’s needs.
